Large Marine Telescope, 90 centimeters – Ramsden, London, 18th century

Nice quality single draw naval spy glass with painted satinwood barrel and good optics. The eye lens with sliding lens protector, the objective lens with a diameter of fifty mm (2 in). Presents a good, sharp and bright image. At the barrel two hundred and fifty years of use can be read.
Jesse Ramsden lived from 1735 until 1800.
