Light Buoy

Every ship has man overboard lifebuoys with floating light to increase the chance of rescue of drowning people at night. They hang on deck with the lamp down. Once in the sea, they stand upright and an electrical connection is established that ignites the light. This fairly rare buoy is made of yellow copper.
