Triton ship’s log – Stockholm, Sweden
Very rare stainless steel Triton ship’s log, made by the Rapid Mechanical Workshop Company Ltd in Stockholm. It’s a speed only type with spring balance and speedometer with bracket shoe and roller line guide. The reel holds a copper braided drag line with rope end. The drag of the line creates tension on the wire and the spring balance registers the speed. The face dial reads up to 12 knots.
